Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

To support the advancement of the USSF's Warp Core data platform, the remote Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert will provide expert guidance on security posture enhancement, risk mitigation, and compliance, while conducting evaluations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct independent evaluations of system security controls to ensure compliance and strong cybersecurity hygiene
• Serve as a technical expert on cybersecurity, providing guidance on risk management and compliance strategies
• Oversee vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field with 12+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 10+ years of experience
• 12+ years of experience as a cybersecurity engineer in large-scale enterprise software efforts
• Advanced knowledge of threat analysis, vulnerability management, and incident response best practices
• Expert knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, DoD RMF)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a CI polygraph
