Cybersecurity Systems Architect
Job Summary
Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise program, the remote Cybersecurity Systems Architect will design secure system architectures, define integration standards, and evaluate architecture alternatives while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Design system and integration architectures for secure data exchange and operational services
- Define interface patterns, system requirements, and implementation guidance
- Produce architecture diagrams and technical decision records while coordinating with architects and developers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Eight or more years of experience in systems engineering, integration architecture, or enterprise application integration
- Demonstrated experience with APIs, integration patterns, and secure system design
- Experience translating business and technical requirements into architecture specifications
- Strong skills in architecture documentation and stakeholder communication
