Cybersecurity Test Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs Cybersecurity Operations and Services Enterprise, the remote Cybersecurity Integration and Test Engineer will plan and execute security integration testing, develop test plans and cases, and validate security requirements across various systems and interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute security integration, interoperability, functional, and regression testing for systems and security tools
• Develop test plans, test cases, test data, procedures, and traceability artifacts
• Document defects, coordinate root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions through retesting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Five or more years of experience in systems integration, test engineering, quality assurance, or cybersecurity engineering
• Experience with test planning, defect tracking, requirements traceability, and integration or end-to-end testing
• Familiarity with security controls, secure interfaces, APIs, and cloud services
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
