Cytogenetics Technologist

Job Summary

To support a growing laboratory team, the full-time remote Cytogenetics Technologist will perform chromosome analysis, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens, primarily focusing on constitutional blood cases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform analysis of chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping, and prepare preliminary reports for interpretation
• Enter analysis information into computer systems and verify patient demographic information and karyotype accuracy
• Participate in proficiency testing and continuing education activities while ensuring compliance with company policies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 2 years or more of experience in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory
• 1 or more years of experience performing karyotyping and constitutional cytogenetics analysis
