Job Summary
Guiding student-athletes through their academic and athletic journeys, the part-time D1 Hockey Youth Mentor will conduct one-on-one video sessions focused on academic support and hockey mentorship, leveraging their Division I hockey experience to foster both educational and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
- Guide students through their academic day, maintaining focus and progress during learning sessions
- Mentor young hockey players on game preparation, training habits, and the college hockey recruiting process
- Build strong mentoring relationships, providing consistent support and feedback across academics and hockey
Required qualifications
- Division I Hockey Background with experience in NCAA Division I ice hockey
- Experience working with kids in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
- Strong judgment skills with young athletes, including the ability to earn trust and provide direct feedback
- Reliability and organization, ensuring timely attendance and follow-through with student needs
- Comfort with AI tools and AI-powered learning platforms to enhance student support
