Data Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting Department of Veterans Affairs modernization initiatives, the full-time Data Analyst will utilize SQL and Python to perform data preparation, validation, and analysis while collaborating with various technical teams to enhance AI-enabled workflows and decision-making processes remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Support AI-enabled analytics by preparing data, evaluating outputs, and identifying data-quality issues
• Utilize SQL and Python to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources, automating workflows where possible
• Build and maintain evaluation datasets, performance measures, and analytical products for both technical and non-technical audiences

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant data analysis or operational analytics experience, with a focus on AI/ML applications
• Strong hands-on skills in SQL and Python, capable of independent query writing and workflow validation
• Experience preparing and validating multi-source data and conducting comprehensive analysis
• Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings and data quality concerns to diverse audiences
