Data Analyst, Stewardship

Job Summary

To support operational excellence, the part-time Data Analyst, Stewardship will manage the production of end-of-day valuation and reference data, troubleshoot data issues, and collaborate with various teams in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support the production of end-of-day valuation data and reference data for PnL, ensuring coverage during evening hours
• Respond to global requests to create, update, and troubleshoot financial instrument reference data via Slack and email
• Investigate data discrepancies by tracing issues back through source systems and collaborating with engineering on systemic problems

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in troubleshooting data issues and writing ad-hoc scripts
• Familiarity with data tools such as Oracle SQL, Bloomberg Terminal, and S3/Athena
• Understanding of financial instruments and markets, particularly in futures, options, and crypto
• Experience in building data governance rules and writing runbook procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
