Job Summary
Facilitating courses in data analytics and GIS, the part-time adjunct Data Analytics and GIS Instructor will teach research design, statistical analysis, and the use of GIS software for crime mapping in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Instruct students on GIS software for crime mapping and spatiotemporal analysis
- Facilitate hands-on practice with statistical and visualization software
- Evaluate student understanding of AI-supported analytic outputs and ethical considerations
Required qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Data Science, Statistics, Geography/GIS, or Intelligence Analysis
- 3-5 years of experience as a Crime Analyst, Intelligence Analyst, or Data Scientist
- Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS and social network analysis tools
- Advanced skills in statistical software such as SPSS, R, or Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools and teaching experience
