Job Summary

Facilitating courses in data analytics and GIS, the part-time adjunct Data Analytics and GIS Instructor will teach research design, statistical analysis, and the use of GIS software for crime mapping in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Instruct students on GIS software for crime mapping and spatiotemporal analysis
  • Facilitate hands-on practice with statistical and visualization software
  • Evaluate student understanding of AI-supported analytic outputs and ethical considerations
Required qualifications
  • Doctorate or Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Data Science, Statistics, Geography/GIS, or Intelligence Analysis
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Crime Analyst, Intelligence Analyst, or Data Scientist
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS and social network analysis tools
  • Advanced skills in statistical software such as SPSS, R, or Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of online educational delivery tools and teaching experience
