Job Summary
To support a Federal grantmaking agency, the full-time Data and Automation Engineer will build and operate data pipelines, implement decision-support components, and maintain audit logging and dashboards in a remote environment with occasional on-site meetings in the Washington, DC area.
Key responsibilities
- Build and operate data pipelines to retrieve and process audit records from various sources
- Implement an append-only ledger for audit findings, ensuring traceability of every action taken
- Develop document extraction processes and decision-support components that provide source citations and confidence scores
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines or document-processing workflows
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in pipeline orchestration tools
- Experience in extracting structured data from unstructured documents using OCR or similar techniques
- Eligibility for a Federal Public Trust background investigation and U.S. citizenship
