Data Architect

Job Summary

As a full-time Data Architect, the successful candidate will manage architecture and infrastructure decisions, develop data sets and ETL workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data pipelines, with the option to work remotely or from New York, NY.

Key responsibilities

• Own architecture and infrastructure decisions, evaluating trade-offs to recommend approaches that meet business needs
• Design, build, and optimize data sets and workflows, implementing internal process improvements for scalability and automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure dependable data pipelines and communicate issues effectively to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Proven experience as a data architect or senior data engineer with accountability for architecture decisions
• 5+ years of experience with data infrastructure, complex data modeling, AWS environments, ETL workflows, and data APIs
• Proficiency with AWS Athena, MySQL, Postgres, and building pipelines with AWS Glue
• Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of working independently and multitasking
• Passion for sustainability and interest in the relationship between buildings, construction, and environmental issues
