Job Summary
To support the development of scalable Data Lakehouse solutions on Google Cloud Platform, the full-time remote Data Architect will manage architecture, design, and implementation while collaborating with clients to address their data challenges and technical requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Data Lakehouse solutions using GCP technologies such as BigQuery and Dataplex
- Collaborate with customers to translate business goals and data challenges into actionable architectural plans
- Establish best practices for data governance, security, and quality across multiple systems
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Data Platform development, with 5+ years in architecting data platforms on GCP and/or Databricks
- Hands-on experience in designing and deploying Data Lakehouse platforms with medallion architectures
- Strong understanding of data ingestion patterns and ETL/ELT pipeline design using orchestration tools
- Expertise in data modeling, storage optimization, and performance tuning for large-scale analytical workloads
- Experience with data governance and security solutions such as Dataplex and IAM
