Job Summary
To support the USDA APHIS Plant Protection and Quarantine program, the fully remote Data Architect - Maryland Licensed will design and modernize data architecture for the Regulated Garbage Module, ensuring compliance with federal standards and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Guide the design and optimization of Azure SQL data architecture for Regulated Garbage workflows
- Translate program requirements into automated data flows and scalable relational schemas
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain technical documentation for data architecture projects
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience in enterprise data architecture and relational data modeling
- Expertise in Azure SQL, T-SQL, and performance tuning
- Experience working in Agile Scrum environments with Azure DevOps/TFS
- Familiarity with integration platforms such as MuleSoft
