Data Capability Engineer
Job Summary
Owning and enhancing the accuracy and usability of service management platform data, the full-time remote Data Capability Engineer will ensure service mapping and asset data are reliable, support AI-driven capabilities, and engage in workflows for onboarding new applications into the CMDB.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date service mapping across hosts, servers, and applications
- Extend mapping coverage to additional data types such as certificates, websites, and SaaS applications
- Apply data quality standards to high-value platform data and ensure it is consumable by AI systems without re-verification
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data management, or equivalent practical experience
- Five to eight years of experience in IT data, configuration/asset management, or a related data-engineering role
- Hands-on experience with CMDB and service mapping concepts
- Strong data-quality fundamentals including profiling, deduplication, and normalization
- Practical experience with querying and shaping data in structured platforms like Dataverse
