Data Center Design Manager

Job Summary

Leading the coordination and integration of design activities for mission-critical data center projects, the full-time remote Sr. Design Manager will manage multidisciplinary design teams, implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, and ensure quality project documentation while focusing on operational reliability and energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead coordination activities among multidisciplinary design teams and chair design meetings to resolve complex challenges
• Apply deep understanding of data center infrastructure to ensure design coordination meets specific operational requirements
• Implement BIM execution plans and maintain federated BIM models to address project complexity and enhance collaboration

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
• 7-10 years of experience in design coordination and BIM management, with at least 5 years in mission-critical or data center projects
• Demonstrated experience leading design coordination on large-scale construction projects with budgets exceeding $50M
• Advanced proficiency with BIM software platforms and 3D coordination tools
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to drive resolution of complex technical coordination challenges
