Job Summary
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and documentation of hardware in the data center, the full-time hourly Data Center Technician III will manage tasks such as cabling, asset tagging, and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Install, move, and decommission hardware, including servers and cabling systems
- Confirm and label devices and cables while maintaining clear communication through a ticketing system
- Follow safety and security policies under the direction of supervisors, ensuring quality and timely work
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 5 to 8 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Experience with cabling systems and knowledge of CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics
- Ability to respond to on-call requests within 1 hour
- Strong understanding of data center best practices and electrical, HVAC, and bandwidth infrastructures
- Proficiency in standard desktop applications and ability to learn new software
