Data Center Technician

Job Summary

To support data center operations, the full-time Data Center Technician III will install, move, and decommission hardware while ensuring adherence to safety and security policies in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, label, and manage hardware and cabling in the data center
• Document processes and maintain clear communication through a standard ticketing system
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and mentor less experienced team members

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 5 to 8 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
• Experience with cabling systems, including CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber optics
• Knowledge of data center best practices and infrastructure components
• Ability to respond to on-call requests within 1 hour
• Proficiency with standard desktop applications and ability to learn new software
