Data Center Technician
Job Summary
Supporting the daily operations of a data center, the full-time Data Center Technician will set up and configure server hardware, manage operating systems, and maintain system inventory while working onsite in Buffalo, NY.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up, configure, and deploy physical server hardware according to customer specifications
- Install and manage various operating systems, including Windows Server, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian
- Complete technical service requests and maintain system inventory and configuration records
Required qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with computer hardware, including server builds and installations
- Confident in installing and configuring various operating systems
- Familiarity with data center workflows such as racking equipment and managing cabling
- Experience with SuperMicro hardware and related components
- Strong troubleshooting skills both onsite and remote
