Job Summary
Assisting with hardware installation and data center maintenance, the full-time Data Center Technician II will manage tasks such as asset tagging, cabling, and documenting processes while adhering to standard operating procedures in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the installation, movement, and decommissioning of hardware and related equipment in the data center
- Confirm and label devices, racks, and cables, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Utilize a ticket management system to provide timely customer communications and follow operational policies
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED with 2 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and training
- Ability to respond to on-call requests within 1 hour
- Experience with CAT5e and CAT6 copper cables and fiber optics
- Working knowledge of computer hardware and networking components
- Proficiency in using standard desktop applications, such as MS Office and web browsers
