Data Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support a long-term federal modernization program, the fully remote Data Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, focusing on high-performance PySpark development and cloud data solutions within secure DoD environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics and Databricks
- Implement data quality controls and monitor pipeline performance for operational reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support security requirements and data migrations
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in designing and operating scalable data pipelines with Azure Synapse and/or Databricks
- Strong hands-on experience in PySpark development and high-performance ETL pipeline coding
- Advanced knowledge of Spark SQL, Python, and SQL for large-scale data transformation
- Experience with data governance, RBAC, and credential management in secure cloud environments
- Active Secret security clearance is required
