Data Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
To support a long-term federal modernization program, the fully remote Data Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, focusing on high-performance PySpark development and cloud data integration within secure DoD environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and AWS Glue
- Implement data quality and governance controls, including schema validation and monitoring
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security requirements and support Agile delivery
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience designing and operating scalable data pipelines with Azure Synapse and/or Databricks
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark development and high-performance ETL pipeline coding
- Advanced skills in Spark SQL, Python, and SQL for large-scale data transformation
- Experience with data governance, RBAC, and credential management in secure cloud environments
- Active Secret security clearance is required
