Data Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a federal defense modernization program, the remote Data Cloud Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions focused on enterprise data integration and advanced analytics while working EST hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, AWS Glue, and related cloud technologies
- Build and optimize large-scale data transformation processes utilizing PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and cloud-native data services
- Implement data governance, quality, security, and monitoring processes, ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting production-grade cloud data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue, and related technologies
- Experience implementing CDC, incremental loading strategies, and cloud-based data architectures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Active Secret Security Clearance required
