Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the ingestion layer, the full-time Data Engineer will design, optimize, and manage pipelines that scrape and process transaction and listing data from various auction houses and marketplaces, working remotely to ensure data accuracy and coverage for pricing models.
Key responsibilities
- Design and optimize pipelines for scraping and processing data from external sources
- Build monitoring and alerting systems to track data latency, uptime, and coverage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clean and standardized data for downstream use
Required qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in modern web scraping techniques and tools, such as Playwright
- Strong programming skills in Python and solid SQL knowledge
- Experience managing end-to-end data pipelines and orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
- Familiarity with cloud development, particularly AWS or GCP
