Data Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and building operational data systems, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will create pipelines, storage layers, and APIs for near real-time enforcement and customer insights in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop resilient data pipelines that balance streaming and batch processing for both transactional and analytical needs
- Integrate external data sources and enable policy evaluation while surfacing insights through dashboards and APIs
- Collaborate with founders and product teams to shape the data architecture and ensure technical excellence
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in designing data pipelines that utilize both streaming and batch paradigms
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and/or Rust, along with experience in Kafka, Parquet, and Iceberg
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and make strategic trade-offs for long-term system development
- Experience in designing and shipping developer-facing APIs, SDKs, or tools related to data systems
- Contributions to open-source data infrastructure projects or active experimentation with agent technologies
