Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of high-quality data products for Federal clients, the full-time Data Engineer will design, implement, and operate scalable data pipelines and lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Azure services in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable data pipelines in Azure using various technologies to enhance data quality and publish trusted data
- Engineer robust lake storage on ADLS Gen2 and establish data quality controls, including profiling and validation rules
- Collaborate within a Scrum team, participating in sprint planning and reviews while continuously improving team processes
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust background investigation
- 5+ years of professional data engineering experience and a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of experience with a related advanced degree
- Strong Python (Pandas, PySpark) and SQL skills with experience in building reproducible data transformations
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics and ADLS Gen2
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices, including Azure DevOps, for data solutions
