Data Engineer
Job Summary
As the first Data Engineer in a full-time remote role, the successful candidate will build and maintain ETL and real-time pipelines, design data models for analytics and reporting, and integrate third-party APIs to enhance the product's capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain ETL and real-time pipelines that bring PIMS data into Nest's systems
- Design the data models behind hospital analytics, internal reporting, and finance
- Troubleshoot production data issues and fix their root causes
Required qualifications
- 3 or more years of professional data engineering experience
- Fluency in Python and SQL, including dbt and Pandas or Polars
- Experience building and operating real-time pipelines in production
- Ability to work independently and explain technical tradeoffs to non-engineers
