Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the evolution of a scalable data platform, the full-time remote Data Engineer will manage data integration solutions, collaborate with various teams, and develop data pipelines using AWS and Databricks.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for data integration and cloud-based data pipeline development
- Design, develop, and support batch and near-real-time data pipelines while ensuring adherence to established architecture and coding standards
- Monitor the health and performance of data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 1-3 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or ETL development within large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with data integration, cloud-based data platforms, and technologies such as Databricks and Apache Spark
- Basic programming experience in Python and SQL for data engineering and analytics solutions
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
