Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning and evolving the systems that manage data across the internal warehouse, the full-time remote Data Engineer will ensure the reliability and scalability of ingestion and orchestration pipelines while collaborating with various teams to define metrics and maintain data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own the reliability, freshness, and scaling of ingestion and orchestration pipelines for Snowflake, including monitoring and alerting
• Design, build, and scale core dbt models for various reporting needs while diagnosing data quality issues at the source
• Manage Snowflake RBAC and PII classification to protect sensitive data and oversee the reverse-ETL processes delivering data to other tools

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production data platforms, including transformation layers
• Deep expertise with Snowflake, dbt, and orchestration tools like Prefect or Airflow
• Experience in data systems production, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
• Strong SQL and Python skills with disciplined engineering practices
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into technical specifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams
