Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing enterprise technology initiative, the full-time Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain end-to-end data solutions, including scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and RESTful APIs, while working remotely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accessibility and reliability.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform data into Google BigQuery
- Develop and document RESTful/GraphQL APIs to expose data and services to internal applications and dashboards
- Implement and maintain a semantic data layer to standardize business metrics and improve data discoverability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering roles
- 3+ years of strong programming skills in Python, Kotlin, and Java
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including data modeling and query optimization
- 3+ years of proven experience designing and building APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask
