Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the design and development of enterprise workflow applications, the full-time remote Data Engineer will collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to build application components, data models, and reporting outputs for a federal health client.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain application components including intake forms and dashboards under senior guidance
- Design and manage relational data structures that facilitate workflow routing and reporting
- Build and validate data pipelines for data ingestion and transformation from various sources into the application data layer
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development or data engineering, including internships or relevant projects
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of relational database design
- Experience with REST APIs and structured data formats such as JSON
- Familiarity with Git-based version control and collaborative development practices
