Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing pharmacy analytics initiative, the full-time Data Engineer will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and products while working primarily remotely with occasional onsite collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and develop scalable data pipeline processes to manage data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and validation
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data scientists to frame problems, clean data, and provision it on demand
• Guide and mentor team members in adopting modern data architectural standards and best practices

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with four years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in a related field
• Two years of hands-on experience in a data engineering role, including SQL and Python
• Experience with modern big data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Databricks
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and common data formats like Parquet and JSON
• Experience with data processing methodologies, including batch processing and real-time data streaming
