Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the Clinical OMOP squad, the contract Data Engineer will onboard new clinical data sources into the Clinical Analytics Enablement Layer (CAEL), focusing on ingestion, validation, transformation, and mapping of clinical data into standardized OMOP tables.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build source-to-OMOP mappings for clinical content
- Develop and update pipeline transformations using SQL and Airflow for data ingestion
- Validate patient identity resolution and ensure integration with existing OMOP processes
Required qualifications
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in BigQuery
- Experience with pipeline orchestration tools, such as Airflow
- Familiarity with the OMOP Common Data Model and clinical terminology standards
- Experience validating data quality for newly onboarded data sources
- Experience in a GCP data analytics environment
