Data Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, the contract Data Engineer will work remotely to deliver trusted data for analysis and product use cases while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet both immediate and long-term data needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using modern tools and frameworks
• Design and implement scalable data models and storage solutions that align with business needs
• Implement data quality controls and support the deployment, scheduling, and monitoring of data workflows

Required qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in data engineering, data modeling, and ETL pipelines
• Proficient in SQL and Python for creating and improving data pipelines
• Experience with cloud and data platforms, particularly Azure and Databricks
• Strong understanding of data integration tools like SnapLogic and Azure Data Factory
• Practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and managing deployment pipelines
