Data Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's Aviation Department, the full-time remote Data Engineer will develop and maintain data pipelines, build ELT workflows, and integrate data using Microsoft Azure services to ensure reliable data for business intelligence and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for the Aviation Data Analytics Warehouse (ADAW)
- Design and implement Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) workflows and optimize data pipelines for performance
- Create and maintain Power BI semantic data models to support reporting and analytical requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and integration solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Synapse Analytics and Data Factory
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience designing and implementing ELT or ETL workflows
