Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support critical data operations in regulated environments, the remote Data Engineer will develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL Server, assist with data integration from various sources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams under the guidance of senior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration from structured files and RESTful APIs
- Create and maintain T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support business logic and reporting requirements
- Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues related to data quality, pipeline failures, and performance problems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 1-4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical role required
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, including writing functions and debugging code required
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL Server required
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, and subqueries required
