Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a governed analytics layer, the full-time Data Engineer will build and maintain dbt models, implement metrics for client data feeds and dashboards, and ensure the reliability of data ingestion pipelines.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain dbt models, migrating legacy SQL logic and ensuring documentation and testing are in place
- Implement business-defined metrics in the semantic layer and maintain them as the single source for various reporting tools
- Monitor and ensure the reliability of data ingestion pipelines for third-party and public data sources
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering, with at least 2 years in production dbt projects
- Strong SQL skills and experience with dimensional modeling
- Hands-on experience with dbt testing, documentation, and project structure at scale
- Experience migrating legacy SQL into a modern transformation layer while validating outputs
- Proficiency in Python for ingestion, automation, and tooling
