Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of innovative application features, the remote Data Engineer will design and deliver data capabilities, collaborating with software engineers and product partners to create scalable data models and pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with engineering teams to translate application requirements into effective data models and pipeline designs
• Design, build, and operate production data operations using SQL, Python, and cloud data technologies while integrating various data sources
• Ensure data pipelines are resilient and maintain shared datasets that support both application features and internal analytics

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in engineering, particularly in building and operating production data pipelines
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with a solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling
• Experience with integrating external APIs and managing changing schemas and imperfect source data
• Familiarity with software engineering practices applied to data systems, including CI/CD and automated testing
• Experience with Azure/GCP and cloud data platforms such as Databricks or Apache Spark
