Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing analytics team, the fully remote Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the Claims Data Warehouse in Snowflake, utilizing Azure-based data services and extensive medical claims data expertise.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and optimize the Claims Data Warehouse in Snowflake, including data ingestion and performance tuning
- Implement and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory to ensure efficient data flow and processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into well-structured, reliable data models
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience as a Data or Database Engineer in a healthcare environment, with a focus on SQL and Enterprise Data Warehousing
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowpipe, Streams, and performance tuning
- Extensive knowledge of medical claims data and healthcare code sets, including ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure data services, as well as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
