Job Summary
Transforming raw utility and geospatial data into high accuracy digital twin models of electricity networks, the full-time remote Data Engineer will contribute to the deployment of the Neara platform for utility customers worldwide by ingesting and manipulating massive datasets, ensuring engineering-grade accuracy, and building custom reports and dashboards.
Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the end-to-end deployment of the Neara platform for utility customers
- Ingest and manipulate large datasets using Neara's schema language and configuration framework
- Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure digital twin accuracy and provide actionable insights through custom reports and dashboards
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Integration Engineer, or similar role
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., SQL, Python) and ability to learn new languages
- Background in engineering, mathematics, software engineering, computer science, or a related field
- Familiarity with GIS, CAD geoprocessing, or LiDAR data is beneficial
- Ability to systematically address complex data discrepancies to ensure model accuracy
