Job Summary
Building SQL and Python-based jobs to transform raw payments data into reliable datasets, the full-time Data Engineer will enhance existing containerized scripts running on Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and performance while working remotely or from various office locations.
Key responsibilities
- Design, write, and maintain Python jobs executing SQL over Snowflake for transaction and reconciliation datasets
- Implement data-quality checks and reconciliation controls to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Package jobs as Docker containers, ensuring they are idempotent, rerunnable, and observable
Required qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with a focus on SQL-heavy workloads
- Strong SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and query tuning
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data ingestion and management of semi-structured data
- Proficiency in Python for data tasks, including libraries such as pandas or Polars
- Familiarity with Docker fundamentals and CI/CD practices
