Job Summary
To support data-driven decision-making in life sciences, the full-time remote Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and warehouse models while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and relevance.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines using dbt, Python, or other ELT tools
- Design and implement data orchestration and transformation processes, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to deliver clean, well-structured datasets for analysis and modeling
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced SQL skills for writing and optimizing complex queries across large datasets
- Strong expertise in data warehouse development, including dimensional modeling and Type 1/Type 2 slowly changing dimensions
- Hands-on proficiency with ETL tools such as dbt, Python, SSIS, or PowerCenter
- Experience working with life science or healthcare data and understanding its quality and compliance considerations
