Job Summary
To support the design of a new data foundation for generative AI applications, the full-time Data Engineer/Architect will manage the implementation of big data systems, ETL pipelines, and data schemas while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement big data systems, ETL pipelines, and data lakes/lakehouses/meshes
- Define and document schemas and ontologies to support data integration and business analytics
- Develop hands-on software solutions using Python and/or JavaScript to enhance data processing capabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in a Science, Engineering, or Technology field
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing systems for analyzing large structured and unstructured data sets
- 5+ years of experience with AI application principles, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Proficiency in developing tools and algorithms for data analysis and business performance improvement
