Data Engineer Contract Position
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), focusing on building ETL/ELT pipelines and optimizing data structures using Azure and SQL.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, schedule, and monitor ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Integration Services
- Ingest, model, and process healthcare claims data to support reporting and analytics
- Optimize database performance by analyzing and fine-tuning SQL queries and database structures
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 or more years of experience as a Database Engineer in a healthcare environment
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Integration Services
- Experience implementing medallion architecture in a cloud data warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
