Data Engineer I
Job Summary
Building and maintaining data pipelines, the full-time remote Data Engineer I will manage streaming and replication processes, oversee infrastructure as code, and ensure data governance across shared environments.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain streaming and replication pipelines to move data from source systems reliably
- Manage schemas, topics, and data contracts to ensure consistency and governance for producers and consumers
- Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling to facilitate safe and quick shipping of updates
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer/software engineering, computer science, Mathematics, or Physics
- 1-3+ years of experience in data engineering, platform, or infrastructure-focused backend software engineering
- Expertise in Kafka, streaming systems, Python (or similar), SQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
