Data Engineer II

Job Summary

Building and maintaining streaming and replication pipelines, the full-time remote Data Engineer II will manage data movement, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD processes while ensuring the reliability and observability of data systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using technologies like CDC, Kafka, and Materialize
• Manage schemas and data contracts to ensure consistency between data producers and consumers
• Own CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems to enhance deployment safety and system observability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer/software engineering, computer science, Mathematics, or Physics
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data-intensive backend software engineering
• Expertise in Kafka, streaming systems, Python (or similar), SQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship
