Data Engineer III
Job Summary
Leading data pipeline development and integration activities, the remote Data Engineer III will manage data assets, support ETL processes, and collaborate with data owners to enhance data workflows for the VA Office of Information & Technology (OIT) IT Budget and Finance (ITBF).
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee planning, monitoring, and maintenance of data assets provided by the Data Centralization and Business Intelligence (DCBI) team
- Support existing ETL packages and develop new SSIS packages for additional data sources
- Maintain technical documentation including Interface Control Documents and Data Flow Diagrams
Required qualifications:
- 10 or more years of experience in data engineering or related technical roles
- Proven expertise in building and managing data pipelines using SSIS
- Skilled in SQL for data engineering and automation
- Hands-on experience with Power BI reports and knowledge of DAX and M
- Experience with legacy and distributed data environments
