Job Summary
To support the myFICO engineering team, the full-time Data Engineer with Python will design and operate SQL Server and Amazon Redshift databases, build and maintain Python ETL/ELT pipelines, and prepare data for machine learning and AI applications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate secure SQL Server and Redshift databases, ensuring high performance and production support
- Build and maintain Python ETL/ELT pipelines to transform data across various systems and prepare datasets for ML and AI applications
- Work with product and marketing teams to modernize data environments and support analytics and AI use cases
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with experience in data and database engineering
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, including security, backup, and performance tuning
- Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering, including experience with libraries such as pandas and NumPy
- Experience with Amazon Redshift administration and tuning, including workload management and permissions
- Familiarity with AWS data platforms and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Step Functions
