Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Managing the day-to-day activities of the data engineering team, the full-time salaried Data Engineering Manager will oversee the development of scalable data solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and project delivery in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the data engineering team by setting goals, providing mentorship, and managing performance
• Communicate with regulatory professionals to establish clear expectations and manage compliance-related tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and maintain data pipelines and infrastructure supporting analytics initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a data-oriented leadership or management role and at least 5 years of experience in software/data development
• Experience leading teams of 3 engineers or more, preferably in a regulated industry
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, Python, and data pipeline management tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and data architecture principles
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information to diverse stakeholders
