Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a dynamic team, the full-time remote Data Engineering Manager will oversee the development of durable datasets, partner with Finance and Business Platforms, and enhance core pipeline reliability while fostering an inclusive team culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver well-modeled datasets for requests, projects, pros, and customers, ensuring ownership clarity
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure revenue models are auditable and resilient to changes
• Set engineering standards and lead a growing team of data engineers, focusing on technical decision-making and team development

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing engineers or as a tech lead ready for first-line management
• 6+ years of experience building data or software systems in production
• Proficiency in SQL, dimensional and event modeling, and familiarity with Python
• Experience owning datasets with rigorous testing, contracts, and versioning discipline
• Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear models and metric definitions
