Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time remote Data Engineering Manager will design and build data pipelines, translate business strategies into technical plans, and drive AI-forward initiatives while ensuring the reliability and scalability of the data platform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of 2-4 Data Engineers to design and implement data pipelines using modern cloud technologies
• Establish and enforce standards for data governance, quality, and pipeline observability
• Build relationships with stakeholders to translate business needs into a technical roadmap and ensure accountability for delivery

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing a data engineering team and 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• 4+ years of experience with Databricks, including Unity Catalog and Delta Lake
• Strong coding skills in Python and PySpark within a distributed computing context
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
• Deep expertise in data governance and best practices in data quality and lineage
