Data Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of data professionals, the full-time salaried Data Engineering Manager will oversee the development and operation of the analytical data platform on Azure and Databricks, ensuring high-quality data ingestion, governance, and performance while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop two Team Leads and four Analysts, setting priorities and maintaining operational coverage for critical data services
• Oversee the design, implementation, and support of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes, ensuring alignment with business needs
• Establish and enforce data quality and security standards, partnering with various stakeholders to guarantee dependable governed data

Required Qualifications

• Over twelve years of experience in data engineering or architecture, including five years in a leadership role
• Proven track record in building and modernizing production data platforms with hands-on technical delivery experience
• Extensive experience with SQL, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud environments, particularly Azure and Databricks
• Demonstrated ability to establish data governance and quality controls within an engineering organization
• Relevant education or professional training in computer science, engineering, or related fields is valued but not mandatory
